I went to school for almost five years for an English Literature degree… which I still am 4 credits short of technically “having” (lazy entrepreneur) but I got my MBA in a month’s time! How’d I do it? Well there is a bit of a catch… the MBA I am talking about stands for Mobile Business Administrator. Maybe you haven’t heard of it, because it isn’t really offered in the usual schools but I think its worth far more than an MBA from UCLA. You may doubt me, but when starting your own business or becoming an entrepreneur I think it is necessary to at least think about getting your MBA.

MBA vs. MBA

  • Becoming a Mobile Business Administrator doesn’t cost anything and unlike its cousin (the Master of Business Administration) it actually will start lining your pockets with MORE money within weeks of getting it. Starting your own business is hard enough, but when you have the freedom of mobility you notice the cost of things goes down dramatically.
  • If you have a computer, a pad of paper & a pen (maybe a cell phone as well) you can get your MBA in as long as it takes you to end your lease with your office space, tell your secretary she’s either tele-commuting or your outsourcing her and forward all your calls to your mobile. Becoming an entrepreneur is not just about making money its about creating a lifestyle of your own choice.
  • Masters of Business Administration get out of college & usually have to find a job, even if one is dropped in their lap they have to immediately start dealing with the stresses of keeping corporate bosses happy or risk losing your job. Saddled with student loans & sick of school the only option is take a corner office & day dream about Bermuda for the next 20 years
The standard MBA vs. the 1 month MBA

The standard MBA vs. the 1 month MBA

  • On the other hand my MBA allows me to go to Bermuda when I start dreaming about it, I haven’t yet because I am scared of long plane rides.. but i digress.
  • My Mobile Business Administrator title actually allows me to only take on the clients I like. If a client comes to me and are bitchy, obnoxious or demanding I simply decline. Using lines I picked up during years of commitment phobia in college like “Its not you its me” and “You’ll be happier with someone else”.
  • My MBA means that my overhead is so low I can be a “business camel” and store up resources and good client relationships that will get me through the dry spells that inevitably happen in life.

Interested in getting your own MBA or online MBA degree? Its easy, its breezy and it leaves you feeling 1000 pounds lighter. In the next few posts I will be outlining exactly how I employee 4 full time, skilled workers for less than most people spend on their mortgages, how I do business from the beach, mountains or nice restaurants with ease & how I design my business around my life… instead of the other way around. If you’re interested in becoming an entrepreneur or already have a business and just want some freedom this may be a very helpful series!
