Crush It is a great book that lays a blue print out for you to follow. When I read it just before Christmas (I have subsequently just leant it to Matthew) I followed it to the tee. Now I've been working the system for a few weeks I've found ways to adapt it that work a bit better for me.

You forgot to mention one thing: that being generous is key.
Sharing information with others, as you do with this post is a great example. You obviously have got what it takes to have success with Web 2.0 +3.0 : )
Commenting on blogs, RTweeting, #hashmarks, #FF Follow Friday and so on generates more connections and interest. That ping.fm is the way to connect different platforms had escaped me. That might be what www.preposterous.com uses to have headlines of blog posts (120 characters +URL post) appear as Tweets on Twitter.
I appreciate your strategical approach.

It's easy to get lost in all those social bookmarking sites/tools, unless you use something like ping.fm. Otherwise, it'd be a mess trying to update all those tools!

i like your post. About the social bookmarking, well i have tried it and heres my opinion. If you are using Digg, i think you should submit your posts. Let others do it for you orelse it looks spammy. I know its ok for us but the comments you will receive from others are going to throw you off sometimes.I think its fine if you go with delicious, stumble and others; however, i let my readers do that job for me
